beginnings & ends

in the beginning it seemed as if you blessed me.

simply blessed me, in every way possible,

inhumanly.

you intoxicated me, 

you were the artist of a precise contour between reality

and someplace alluring.

you made me feel as a necessity,

something you couldn't bare to go on without.

you caressed me exultant with the tip of your tongue.

and as so, 

you kept me desperately wanting more.

you somehow unbroken me,

like a delicate, fallen piece of china 

that was put back together.

you quenched my thirst so well,

far better than water ever could.

you taught me to face you 

instead of the sun, 

as if you shone brighter.

you worked miracles inside my inner being,

changing me

one heart beat at a time.

you became the sheer bliss in my life.

you became my source of exhilaration.

the way you sang me luscious words of want,

i was contempt.

and i had fallen.

fallen, even though i thought i was being lifted.
