imperfection

imperfection

A Poem by taylorrose

I no longer

Worry about the marks

I no longer

Care about the scars

Imperfection

What I always tried to fix

Of a mirror that lied

Of the mirror that hide

The mirror who lied

I no longer accept it

My imperfections

I began to love

The things i cant change

I no longer need that mirror

To tell me what i can be

I'm able to accept

That my imperfections are beautiful

Everyone is imperfect

I'm so glad to have my

Imperfections

I was born who i am

That i cant not change

So to the mirror

That once held my fate

I am strong and wise

Beautifully complete

With my imperfections.

Author's Note

taylorrose
It took me 13 years of my life to actually feel beautiful in my own skin. I was taught at a young age that i was nothing. never going to be anything. it took me almost my whole life to realize that the monster who put that in my head was only trying to control me.

No imperfection. Just people who are different. The different in people allow us to be special. Would be a sad world if we were all the same. The scars and imperfection allow us to be special. I like the ending to the excellent poem.
