I will survive

I been there, done that

I watched my father be a monster

I witnessed his demise

I watched him take it all

I watched the tears fall from are eyes

I will survive

because I am a fighter

I will be okay

I watched kids be cruel

I watched them taunt others

I became there next victim

I watched them judge me

as I stood back in the crowd

I stood silent

I will survive

because a battle must be won

I fight for my future

a future someone tried to strip me of

a future that's meant to be mine

I will not be a victim

I will not surrender

I will fight for what's mine

he may think he won

they may think they won

but I know
