a lady who doesnt know

about a lady I take care of in a nursing home. she has touched my life more than I can even express.

There is this woman

she lights up my life

she doesn't know what time she lives in

she doesn't know how old she is

There is this woman

who has a heart full of gold

She is lost in her past life

she only knows so much

Its kind of sweet

we met at different cross roads

I'm learning to live my life

She's just about to leave

She is smart and sweet

a mother she is

but I call her grandma

even those we aren't

she loves me like her own

she knows she doesn't have long

but that's okay to her

that's what she wants

a life full of surprises

has led her to a fulfilling life

she gets mad sometimes

she yells mom all day long

she says she hates you

but you had to know her to know

she will love you in a few minutes

I learned to love her

she holds a special place in my heart

I wish she had more time

even those she is ready and wants to go

I want to learn more about her

I want to see the joy in her eyes again

but its not meant to be

god needs his angels

I realize its true

we all go through life just waiting to gain are wings

this lady has earned them

she taught me so much about myself

that even I'm in love

may her soul rest in peace

that one day wee will meet again.
