i know

i know

A Poem by taylorrose

i know your dying

i can see your worn out body

you eyes sinking in

the way your face is always sleepy

but forgive

how

i cant let go

not after those long nights

not after begging for are lives

not after each blood bath

not now

not after many of years

can one person forgive

her only monster

the one who tried to take it all

the one who wouldnt stop

forgive you

im not sure i can

i know your dying

i know you want salvation

but let god be the one

to forgive you

because im not sure im able to

forget what you did

i know your dying

A powerful and direct poem. I agree with the ending. Some things are not easy to forget. Death allowed us to research old memories. Sometimes the answers are not what we want to give. Thank you for sharing the excellent poem.
