Algae

Algae

A Poem by Fire&Ice

Green and fast,

It first pushes in from the outside,

From the line that separates shore and water.

It seeps deeper,

Sinks towards the sand.

Swirling inward,

Emerald clusters suffocate the water.

Inbetween the meshes of mayhem,

Swim scaley creatures in confusion.

The disease filters further in,

Emptying the area of the life it once had.

Within one-hundred years,

The place is filled-in.
