Naturally VainA Poem by Fire&IceI sit here and I know, That my appearance is lacking this day. I stare absent mindedly , And then the light penetrates my head. I should shave it. Shave all the blonde hair. Watch it fall to the floor, Without a sound . Maybe tonight, I won't put in my retainer. I mean, when I'm old and gray, No one will be judging my teeth.. And that lovely skin cream, That I lather all over my young, smooth legs. I think I'll toss it. One day they'll wrinkle anyway. And better yet, I'll cut my nails real short. Remove all the paint. And at these radical thoughts, I stand and feel a shiver shake through me. I know very well that I would, Never attempt these things. For I am slightly vain. I just like to feel comfortable, And being an eye sore, Is not in my comfort zone. But how ludicrous does it seem That not one person left Is completely natural © 2009 Fire&IceAuthor's Note
