Eye is the Sun

Eye is the Sun

A Poem by Fire&Ice

Star shaped and silver, her eyes were revealed in sunlight.

The rims of the stars were violent red, shell-shocked from the night.

One would expect blood veins to curl through the creamy white sclera.

A fanlike row of brownish lashes, they appear to lengthen as the sun rises slowly.

Her metallic irises flash as beams of light bounce off them, upsetting the firey color surrounding.

The bright outline begins to fade, becoming orange, than yellow.

The yellow rims began to seep into the silver, clouding the luster.

She blinked once, her tawny lashes touched down to her pale cheek.

As her eyes opened again, they appeared of golden felt.

Streaked with subtle silver, her eyes became the sun itself.
