Them and the Invisible Person

Them and the Invisible Person

A Poem by Fire&Ice

They never tell you it'll feel like this

No one ever mentioned an invisible person

That stood behind you and shook your shoulders

Made your body convulse with alkaline tears

It was never said that, your mind would throb

With the whirling thoughts of what's happened

And they should've informed you of the way your eyes glaze

The way they seem to bulge and simply slide over things

How could you have known, that at one point, your body would calm

Become completely still, with the awe of what's happened

That invisible person, those alkaline tears, and throbbing thoughts

Completely gone, as long as you breathe deep

Next time you won't be alone, I promise that

They will never tell you anything

But I will

Wow. I love it. I have no idea what it is about it. But I love it.
