Smoke

Smoke

A Poem by Taylor Petersen

Breathe me in;
Like the early morning
Cigarette.

Let me linger;
On your lips
Like the smoke
Between your teeth

Inhale me deeply;
Keep me inside
Let me be part of you

Exhale;
Not ready to let go
Breathe deep
Trap me in your soul

Snuff me out;
Flick me to the curb
You'll be back
In an hour
Like clock work.
