Tacos, Anyone?

I am definitely surprised now. I opened my eyes and he was gone. Just gone. Then

I see the that thing that attacked Jayna flying away. What the hell? Doesn't this all sound a

little too creepy?

I had walked back to the hotel, finding Jayna pissed.

      "Where have you been, Ava?"

"I had a meeting with Zane."

      "You WHAT?!"

      "I met with Zane!"

"I heard you the first time, dimwit. Tell me everything!"

"Well, we made out against a tree...yes, he was laying over me...then I heard a thump

and a cry, then when I opened my eyes, Zane was gone and I could see a speck of the

thing that attacked you flying away."

      "You saw It again?!"

      "Yes!"

      "We have to tell Darren."

I tell the story to Darren, who looks skeptical.

"And you saw it in the park?" He asks.

      "Yes, that's what I said."

"And was there anyone with you?" He asked, I hadn't mentioned the whole make-out

with Zane to Darren.

"Um, no, why would there be?"

      "Just checking."

He insisted I call Zane and tell him what happened. He didn't watch me call, though,

which I was thankful for. He made Jayna watch, though.

      He picked up. "Ava?"

      "Yeah?"

      "Are you alright?"

      "Yeah, why? I'm fine."

"I just wanted to make sure...I shouldn't have left you by yourself..." He sounded like

he had been beating himself up over this.

"Listen to me, Zane. I. Am. Just. Fine."

"That's good, then. Hey, can I see you? Right now?"

"Yeah, sure, text me where after this call."

      "Text you what?" Jayna interrupted.

"Um, where I can get a taco. We didn't have time when we met earlier." I answered. I

heard Zane laugh through the phone. He knew I was trying to ditch Jayna to meet him.

      "Oh, um, ok?" Jayna said.

      "Nice cover, Ava." Zane said.

"Thanks. Now, why did you run today?"

"I saw the thing that attacked you guys and it was mad at me, so I left. Sorry."

"It's fine. So, text me that taco place, yeah?"

"As a matter of fact, I feel like a taco. Can I come or is this a date?" Jayna asked.

"Tell her that she can come since she'll be there anyways, following you, probably. She

just can't sit with us."

We hung up and I got a text.  #334 Hjalp St. (Why anyone would name the street Help,

I don't know.) When we got there, it actually was a taco place.
