SurpriseA Chapter by Taylor(:Surprise The plane landed about an hour ago. We're at Darren's uncle Jon's hotel. Jayna and I are sharing a room. We're on the eleventh foor in room 14B. It's a pretty nice room. I have no idea why I though a Swedish hotel would be a dump. Maybe because I live in one and couldn't imagine myself anywhere else. I missed my dad, so I called him to let him know I was alright. It's nice to think someone worries about you and cares where you are. "Hey, Dad, It's Ava." "Hiya, whose Ava? Wanna come over and play Twister?" Dad laughed. He's drunk again. Probably playing a sloppy game of poker with his beer buddies. I hung up and let out a few silent sobs. Jayna finds me there, leaning against the bathroom wall. "What happened, Ava? If someone hurt you, I want to know. Darren can-" "No, no, no," I choked out. "Then tell me," She sat down beside me. "He asked if I wanted to go play Twister." "It's okay, Ava, he's just drunk again." "JUST drunk again? Wow, thanks." "You know that's not what I meant." "Really. What did you mean, then?" "I'm sorry, okay? I don't know what I meant. I was just trying to reassure you that everything will be fine here in Sweden, but, no, you obviously don't want to be comforted." "That's because you SUCK at comforting!" "Don't yell at me, Ava. Don't even go there!" "I'll GO anywhere I want, JAYNA!" "FINE! GO, THEN!" All the sudden, there was glass flying everywhere. Something had jumped through the bathroom window. I don't know what Jayna saw, but her mouth was hanging open. She looked as if she saw the most beautiful guy she'd ever met. When he broke through the window, she had scooted away from me in fear. So he didn't see me, but I saw him. He had golden tan skin, light brown hair, and muscles like you wouldn't believe. He looked like the perfect work of art. Something to be proud of. I couldn't see his eyes, but something felt wrong. He had a black and red tattoo on his waist, snaking around to both sides. I can't figure out what it is but the closest I can come is barbed wire. Oh, and one more thing, he was naked and kneeling next to Jayna. I flipped out. I grabbed the plunger behind me and started screaming and hitting his head with it. I was standing up now. "Get your fine a*s AWAY from my best friend." "Intriguing, you are, my dear." He said, turning towards me and smiling. "It's seldom I meet a woman able to resist me." He stared into my eyes as id to hypnotize me, but my gaze turned hard. I was not in the mood for this, and he could tell. "Yeah, well, get the hell out. I don't know what your are, but I think I have a pretty good idea why you came." I picked up Jayna's shirt, because he had taken it off, and threw it at her. "Jayna, put your shirt back on." She did as I told her, all the while staring at him intently. I then decided the plunger wouldn't do much good, so I took my lighter from my pocket and lit the plunger on fire. I waved it around him. Hw jumped back from it, into the wall, eyes wide. "Yeah, that's right. You don't like fire, do you? Then I will suggest one more time, that you jump out that window you came through or I'm gonna torch your whole body, mister." He jumped out the window, and I couldn't believe what I saw. Black wings sprouted from his back and he flew away.
