Before Ava

Adrianna sat in her luxurious lounge chair, feeling proud to be the youngest 

Honor. Being only seventeen years of age, technically, made her the youngest Honor ever. 

She had enjoyed her last thirty-three years as a vampire, being only seventeen when 

turned. This made her highly wanted, for her Maker had gone against the rules of the 

Honors. Yet, to this day, they can't find the woman who turned her. The Honors had 

decided on killing Adrianna, for she was made Out of Age. But someone stopped them. 

Someone who'd been looked over many times because he was also made Out of Age. His 

name was Zane Geoffrey Turner. But this time he wouldn't be looked over. He would 

save Adrianna from her awful fate. The brutality of killing in the colony was just as 

traumatic for the people as it was for the vampire being killed. He wouldn't let anyone go 

through that if he could change the Honors' minds. 

Zane was his generation's Seer. The only one who could see into the Pool of 

Cerridwen. He was the only one who could save her, but only if she was meant to be 

saved. Fortunately, he saw her initiated and in the seat of an Honor. It did not show, 

however, how she got there. Instead of waiting for it to be uncoded in the Pool by Zane, 

the Honors initiated her before they knew.    

     She was an Honor before her time. She was supposed to save the town of Drin from an 

Incubus, but Honors cannot fight, they only decide and hold their vampire colony 

together. Instead, the Inccubus terrorized Drin, and the Honors didn't know how to end it.  

Until Ava came along.
