The Rain Can Answer

The Rain Can Answer

A Poem by Sunflower

The rain falls down through my eyes

The clouds cover all the lies,

The grass sways in the wind,

Everyone has lost a friend

The lightning turns on to light the sky

No one may ever know why

The wind sings through my ears

As we all look back on our fears

The rain covers my face in a sadness blanket

Today the clouds are here to uncover it

With a tear the size of a life that is gone

When will we ever find where all this hurt and pain belong?

The rain covers the street

That I step onto with bare feet

Needing to feel the skies tears

I walk in the windy dark with all my fears

Not even the rain can answer my questions

The only person that can is without mention

With the wind screaming to me

Darkness is letting me see

The moon peaks through a cloud

To let me finally ask aloud.
