Smothered With Mistakes

Smothered With Mistakes

A Poem by Sunflower

Time can heal,

What is to heavy for one day to deal?

Why is it that time isn’t moving along,

Are we stuck on pause?

The past is the past,

What is it that hurts you so bad?

Why do you cry when you are alone,

Are we that good at faking what we feel until we are home?

The future stabs me with each conclusion,

What if life is just an illusion?

Why can’t we know the answers to every question,

Are we let with only guesses?

The present is smothered with mistakes,

What if someone finds out the ones we’ve made?

Why can’t it be simple to just let go,

Are we ever going to not be alone?
