The Ticking Of A Clock

The Ticking Of A Clock

A Poem by Sunflower

The ticking of a clock fills the silent air,
as memories flood the broken who dare.

The ticking of a clock takes my mind away,
as things left unsaid arise from today.

The ticking of a clock hurts my heart,
as everything sinks in, everything falls apart.

The ticking of a clock makes the sniffles unheard,
as the cuts deepen from everything that occurred.

The ticking of a clock begins to slow,
as the world fades out and your emotions explode.

The ticking of a clock never can stop the pain,
as the scarlet arises again.

The ticking of a clock sins,
as it knows all of your dirty secrets held within.

The ticking of a clock clever enough,
as the girl dead on the floor who was finally done.
