All of The Horror Drank, Gone

All of The Horror Drank, Gone

A Poem by Sunflower

an empty glass
lies in the grass
next to a drunken girl
whose life has fallen in a downward spiral.

the grass so very thick
as her soul begins to slip
all of the horror drank, gone
now her life is done.

so dark and so cold
so alone
oh how it feels
to know the devil's deals.

a faint whisper in her ear
are you ready to leave here
spinning words in her head
of course I want to be dead.

lies are all that were told
when she tried to get help before she folds
this game of life she is loosing
but death just seems so soothing.

she slowly picks up the blade
it's time, today is the day
she slowly raises her arm to slit her throat
goodbye cruel that I soon won't know.
