She Writes In The Dark, He Sleeps In The Dark

She Writes In The Dark, He Sleeps In The Dark

A Poem by Sunflower

She writes in the dark,
All the blood is unseen,
Marks will be scars,
As she doesn't dare to sleep.

He sleeps in the dark,
Where his dreams are unseen,
On his heart will be scars,
For she is about to forever sleep.

She asks for one reason just to stay,
None coming to her scattered brain,
Her heart so lonely and broken,
She makes her marks and makes her veins open.

He secretly wishes she would be his to stay,
Thoughts of her are stuck in his brain,
Why doesn't he tell her he loves her and she shouldn't be so broken,
Slowly he starts to think he should give his heart to her and let it open.

Very sweet-yet dark. Makes a nice combo.

Very relatable, guys can be amazing at the beginning of a relationship then the just get all detached, or macho, or lazy.
