In The Hall

In The Hall

A Poem by Sunflower

in the hall I see you talking to her,
in the hall I want to just fall into something with no cure,
in the hall I see both of you laugh,
in the hall I want us to be like that.

I walk by acting as if nothing was wrong,
I walk by as you knew it wasn't where i belonged,
I walk by acting like I am okay,
I walk by as you don't watch what you say.

In the dark I scream,
In the dark you dream,
In the dark I weep,
In the dark you sleep.

I cry at night because of you,
I cry at night from the pain I'm putting myself through,
I cry at night because I can't let go,
I cry at night from the feelings I have that you know.

I feel the exact same way, and it hurts and it bothers the crap out of me. I don't have that anymore since I have moved, but even hearing about him being with someone else.
It takes me back to when we were in the halls. Nice write. I love relating to the poems I read:)

you nailed the motivations and the whys... and pretty much hinted to the level of public pain and hurt. You even brought it home too.

I think you put together one many can relate to.
