Can No One See, For I Am The Worthless Girl

Can No One See, For I Am The Worthless Girl

A Poem by Sunflower

can no one see what i am slipping into,
can no one understand the things i am beginning to do,
the drugs hide and mask the pain.
the cuts become scars that are all the same,
just one sentence from your mouth spoken,
just some words for the lost and the broken,
keep me safe and sound tonight,
just hold me and turn off the light,
calm and with a poker face on,
no one sees what's going on,
it keeps getting worse since you left,
and no one understands it,
whispers and cries i scream in the dark,
no where to turn and the dog barks,
a razor blade now in my hand,
my body craves to understand,
just one cut please deep please,
something so hurtful it brings the devil to his knees,
for i deserve all the pain in the world,
for i am the one who is a worthless girl.

the pain, the worthlessness, the loneliness.. it all jumbles up into one very strong negative emotion. and the way you describe it subtly, hiding the pain in your heart with the pain you inflict your body... it only makes it even stronger.
well written. a 100/100 definitely for this one.
