That Little Girl

That Little Girl

A Poem by Sunflower

In this horrid place
where there are millions of just one face
a single tear can be shed
as some little children try to understand
she was their family and their friend
but she was really good at the game pretend
she was so young and yet so bold
she never did what she was told
the rebel and the crazy child
she always ran wild
why this how did she even know
how could her young life have been so low
she did it no do overs
no more looking for clovers
or playing with or meeting new friends
she ended her game of pretend
ended more than just throwing away a kite
that little girl ended her life.
