What Would You Do

What Would You Do

A Poem by Sunflower

What would you do,

If this girl you thought you knew,

Was laying there,

Gasping for air.

Would you just watch her?

Or look to find a cure,

She is running out of time,

Just look now she’s loosing her mind.

No she isn’t the stoner you think she is,

She has gone through her whole life without it,

Never touching what you think she is addicted to,

Man if you only knew.

I can see the cuts on her wrists,

How could anyone ever over look it?

I can see the pain hidden in her green eyes,

That she covers up with lies.

She is the one who tells everyone how she is fine,

When it’s her who’s dying on the inside,

What could she ever say,

That would make you understand her and her ways?

You just keep watching, maybe hoping,

That she doesn’t need help or assisting,

As she lays there, her soul is being stolen from her body,

Without someone to care or see.

Look at the hurt and all the pain,

What do you have to gain,

By putting her down day after day,

What will you do if she dies from the words you say?

Her gasps are getting more shallow,

How did you not know,

What you were doing to this little girl
