To Fight A Losing Battle

To Fight A Losing Battle

A Poem by Sunflower

when the house is asleep
is when i'm the worse
The thoughts begin to creep
and i start to picture a hearse.

when all is silent
my feelings go numb
I become violent'
and start to think of how i am scum.

Don't worry though
the cuts aren't deep
it didn't even matter so
don't you dare worry about me.

I fight a battle so many others do
it seems i'm always losing
yet so many feel the same way too
it feels as if we are never moving.

we just go place to place
drifting there by urges
yet no where is safe
but nevertheless every one of us feels worthless.

or at least i do.

I understand the place that you write about...it's terrible and depressing and dark and empty. In the middle of the night when everyone is asleep and it's dark and quiet is when it starts to be the worst.
