Disappointment

Disappointment

A Poem by Sunflower

Here I sit
In a place
I said I never
ever would.

I promised
my mom
my dad
my very self.

Never did
I think I would
Be the one
to give in.

As I sit
Right here
I see distant
Disappointment shine.

Never smoke pot
on a night
just like this
you'll lose your mind.

Never drink
just to feel
the nothingness that
I have known to feel.

I told them I would never do this
I told them I never would
I told them I never would do this
And here I sit, feeling disappointment.
