Fast for a Steady Pace

Fast for a Steady Pace

A Poem by Sunflower

Broken pieces never falling into place,
Problems too big for someone alone to face,
Going much too fast for a steady pace.

Longing to be loved,
Wanting to be enough,
Seeing herself as too much.

Mirror shatters,
She feels as if she does not matter,
Her social status falls down the latter.

People can be oh so cruel,
They are such fools,
It does not make you better to break the rules.

Gather your self-esteem,
Make your life a living dream,
Turn everything into something unseen.

Scars will eventually fade,
Your spirit and heart can block the blade,
Just know you have been remade.
