What If

What if that girl wouldn't have made that mistake

would her son still walk this earth just at a later date

What if that girl was never abused by that man

would they be a better family like origanally planned

A boy is with his girl

outside in the grass

he looks at his watch

and sees how much time has just passed

he says he has to go

she doesn't want him to leave

he says his goodbyes and heads home on his feet

What if he stayed

to lay and watch the stars

would he have still been hit by the drunk drivin car

What if he stayed 10 seconds longer

would his life have been saved

instead of laying in a casket 6 feet in the grave

 Would he have gone home safe and sound

and his parents never wept

if he listened to his girl and never would have left
