Mistakes

We all make mistakes

that we mostly regret

you may get past them

but you never forget

THEY say we are only human

it happens to the best

but dont just think about the greatest

because it happens to the rest

what do THEY really know

who are THEY to tell us...see

I lost my girl to another man

and its more then jealousy

my mistake was that

I took love for granite

she didnt get what she deserved

so like that she just vanished

I wont be punished for my mistake

for I did not commit a crime

but the punishment will be

the pain locked within my mind

I had true love and lost it

and true love is hard to find

wish I could un do my mistake

but I cant turn back the hands of time
