Losing Your Hero

Who are you to run to

Whats there to say

What are you to do

When your hero's past away

You've lived your biggest fear

Wishing it didnt happen at all

You dont even shed any tears

Cause your too shocked for them to fall

You wonder about the future

And reminsce about the past

When you finally lost your hero

You think to your self and start to ask

Will i ever smile

Will i ever see my friend

You think for a while and ask your self again

You look for the answers

In your heart , mind, and soul

Thats the only thing you can do

This is sad but very nicely penned. When someone we look up to has passed away, it can feel like a big chunk of our heart is buried with them. But, eventually, we start to remember the many ways they touched our lives, and can smile at the memories. As long as they remain alive in our hearts, they are not lost to us.
