The old book store.A Poem by Tatiana Havens
I went to an old book store
to pick out a novel. One with bent pages & highlighted sentences that give you further details about the ones who left it on the shelf. A worn down spine; which was many people's reason to not even think to take a second glimpse at it. This book reminded me of you. Existing, but not being taken away by life's adventures. All because you're too caught up in your sadness. Maybe even too caught up to notice how much you really mean to me.
