Petals of Concern for Forbidden Fruit

Petals of Concern for Forbidden Fruit

A Poem by T.S. Rex
"

Pertains to eating disorders

"

They wither and die in the winter
Yet spring comes and they bloom
Suffering so much for one thing
Being patient, being smooth

They go without nourishment
Their minds slow as the body fails
Shaky, wilting, and sad
The mind does catch up
And thats when they rejoyce

They can see themselves
They made beauty their choice
They are stronger than anyone
For strength in physical weakness is power
Aren't they beautiful? Here's a secret:
The fruit of our trees is sour

Oh wow dude. This is awesome. It kind of has a hazy, ethereal feel to it.
At first I wasn't sure what it was about, just the first stanza, but then the second one came along and a grin spread across my face. What a beautiful tribute~ It's tragic in a way, given your final line. But I think that's the perfect way to end it... build them up, make them smile, then make them come crashing down right along with us.
I gotta say though, I got some of the most beautiful mental images when I read this. My description is kinda long so I'll just message it to ya~

This is awesome though, one of the best poems I've read in a while
