I am the
discarded skin
of a locust
clinging to life
like the bark
of a decaying
stump

I am glad you survived. My brother defeated cancer three times. I went to say good-bye in 2018 and he defeated again. He had a half a stomach. You are welcome my friend. I hope I can read your work for 40 more years.
