I hear your name when it rains

I hear your name when it rains

A Poem by terry smith

I was so excited
to meet you
didn't know
you wouldn't
be there
didn't know
how I was
going to
reach you
this pain
is more than
I can bear

all I know
is that I
need you
it was
your eyes
I hoped
they would share

I know
that you
need me
it's a wound
that we have
to share

I will be
whatever
you need
me to
two human
crutches
together
this weight
we share

i agree with Courtney...those lines struck me too...that is so creative to use that metaphor...
we don't want to feel that someone holds us up...that we can't do it on our own...
but if the give is equal...if we both need it and want it...the support shared is love.
