13 steps to nowhere

13 steps to nowhere

A Poem by terry smith

13 steps to nowhere

Sometimes when the whiskey is gone
& the air is cold & thick with silence
I caress the edge of the blade
like the flesh of a long lost lover
& reminisce of the days we danced
with the promise of comfort
& peace for my soul
& reminisce of the days we danced
with the promise of comfort
& peace for my soul
