Autumn Lady

She walks 

amongst

the woods

on a path 

well worn

of her own

 creation

and the 

leaves

left themselves

fall 

from the trees...

a golden carpet

for her 

to walk upon

and the sky

wept 

at the sight

and washed

away 

the sins

of the

day

Wow. A great expression of the beauty of a season. I love the way it's personified in the form of a beautiful woman that nature and the elements are falling over themselves to please. The sky weeping is a fantastic image of renewal and hope. And your poem is in the shape of a leaf. Pretty cool.

i like how the form fits the content...the funnel shape...the wind, the leaves falling from the trees...as they sky weeps and like the leaves falling to the ground, the sins also fall away...
