Hydromancy

Hydromancy

A Poem by terry smith

I went to a fortune teller
that predicted the future
by reading water
when I asked her
about my love life
she put some ice into a glass
drowned it in scotch
and in one quick motion
emptied it
then pushed the glass
across the table to me

I guess I had my answer.
