Love can be many things

Love can be many things

A Poem by terry smith

just lay with me
my morning dove
and gaze upon the stars above
let the sun come up
with it's rainbowed hue
and cover us with it's morning dew
let your hair
rain down upon me
from above
as we speak
of true love
for on your lips
a kiss we meet
and in your eyes
a light so sweet
let me breath you in
for a while
the afterglow
of your smile
raises my spirits
to the stars above
forever with you
my one true love.

u r welcome! :)
This is a beautiful expression of love. I really liked the descriptions of intimacy and thought this added another dimension to the poem.

a powerful love poem...like the formatting...the short lines, lots of impact. One suggestion...the two "it's" should be "its"...
yes, love can surely raise one's spirit.

Love can indeed be many things Terry. You have captured a beautiful essence of it here in your words. The ending is perfect "forever with you my one true love".
