That Book

That Book

A Poem by terry smith

I am that book
you passed up
so many times.
Maybe my cover was too plain for you.
Till one day,
with nothing left unread on the shelf,
you opened me...
and you haven't put me down since.

-- ohhhh... to be finally noticed... and not just that but to experience what it's like to be an un-put-downable book... would be so magical and miraculous... -- incredibly ravishing poetry...

Very cool imagery. Turns the "book by its cover" on end. I enjoyed this one.
