Lollipop

Lollipop

A Poem by terry smith

At first you can't wait to get me into your mouth,
so sweet and hard against your tongue.
But after awhile you tire of me,
and can't wait  'till i'm small enough,
to get between your teeth,
and break me to pieces....

What will you do when i am gone?

Thank you!
I adore the analogy you brilliantly played upon here, Terry. I must admit, I am a licker...I never bite into a tootsie roll pop until ALL the outer shell has been dissolved in my mouth. It takes some discipline, though...every time! ; )
