The PheonixA Poem by Tasteless Heart
The silence echoes through these halls
Of memories abandoned The axe must break before it falls To severe ties of reason We face the truths we cannot face Succumb to these emotions And read the writing on the walls To live the life we've chosen These paths diverge into the dark In fickle Fate's direction To merge again or drift apart From consequence of action So in the future come what may Though nothing is for certain We'll watch this Phoenix rise again And grow from all that's happened. © 2016 Tasteless HeartReviews
