Reckless Abandon

Reckless Abandon

A Poem by Tasteless Heart

You say there's damage
That we are done
Too much has happened
Can't overcome

Your independence
You seek alone
Finding your journey
Out on your own

You won't accept it
You fail to see
How I can help you
How we can be

So in this silence
I start to fade
Losing my patience
Give in to rage

I have accepted
All I have done
Offered repentance
Refused to run

I stopped and listened
I vowed to grow
Challenge accepted
Work on my own

I have conceded
Humbled myself
Space I have given
Despite my doubts

I can't foresee this
Can't read your heart
Reckless abandon
Tears me apart.

You're welcome.
Being as you write quite well and are of my own genre. I can only applaud. Good flow. Bridging is perfect. Subject right on. Looking forward to more
