Wicked Dreams

Wicked Dreams

A Poem by Tasteless Heart

I'm caught in this deceptive hope
Stuck on this twisted road
And I will not give in
Knowing will be my end

I'm hurt but I can't look away
Self-preservation fails
These burning wounds won't mend
The cycle starts again

This life seems like a distant dream
An ugly memory
Of what the future holds
Letting this storm unfold

So come step into past with me
Ignore the signs you see
Bask in rekindled love
Before you must wake up.
