Taken with twoA Poem by LifeInPoetryIts strange. I used to not believe one person could love two people at the same time until I experienced it. I love them both so effortlessly but in such different ways. There he is. He is honest and says it how he sees it, He does what he want and does what he pleases. He know not of these emotions, nor this mind of mine, But how he ceases my body with a single touch of my spine. And then there's him. The quiet and shy mystery who knows exactly who I am, Who wants so badly to be with me and yet cannot even hold my hand. The man who claims to know each part of me, each part to find and love, How can my heart still mislead, how can neither be enough? For he is the sun and sees my body whole, Yet the moon is just like him and gets to know my soul. He cradles me in his arms but I am also comforted by the words of him each day, Is it possible to crave both and have my heart divided in such a way. Fate has wondered from the start, but I will allow it to do what it must do, I now have twice the beating heart, for I am taken with two. © 2014 LifeInPoetryReviews
