What I needA Poem by LifeInPoetryI need to give you all I am, although I'm yet to find what that is. I need worlds to stop when you take my hand, And time to cease to exist. I need it all and all that you are, The serenity of your innocence. I need to know that however far we part, I can solely rely on your continuance. I need to know that your mind will be lightened, When we are separate and I am alone, You see I am so inevitably frightened, How missing you can weigh down my bones. I need you in my darkest times, When the waters thick and the air is thin. I need to know you will be surfaced by my side, Because my demons know how to swim. I need to know you'll be in my sight, The moment I begin calling. You see I am so very afraid of heights, But I can't stop myself from falling. I need to know of what we are and what we are still to be, So separately, independently combined. You know you are you and I am me, Although our souls have effortlessly intertwined. © 2014 LifeInPoetryReviews
