Upside Down Crowded Mask

Upside Down Crowded Mask

A Poem by T. Smeltz

Upside down. I'm standing on the ground. I saw you once now I am found. This crowded mask hides my rotten flask. The creeping of two hearts collide behind the shade of fires fighting for their glare, the flare. Turn that frown upside down. Don't fall. The cracks are deep that I might drown. Side wind through the sand. Secrets they share yet they are bland. What in the world do you know? You have no idea of the time that stands still. Ill fitting the crowing on the mound, the pitch from a twitch that skates through my land, my mind. To find the unbearable weight not from hate nor fate. Come on if you dare. Do you care? Just ask
to know what is creeping in the crowded mask.
