Just the start of a poem I'm writing

When did I became such a great actor?

For some time now,
I've been acting really good
Without even trying to.

But I don't like acting, not even a little bit
You may wonder why I'm acting then,
Without any script, without any paper or pen?

I'm acting to fool myself,
my family, my friend and foes.
That I've got it all under my control.

That I know my purpose and,
I had planned everything,
step by step,
But now I know the truth
I've just been acting
fooling myself.

Author's Note

I am a real newbie so I don't know much about formats and all, but I would like to get tips on it.
Teach me as much as you can.
