Alone I Grow Cold

Alone I Grow Cold

A Poem by Tarry Franck

My life distorted
Within the blink of an eye
Terrified, humiliated
And still asking why.

Love
I cherished but set free
Hoping, begging
It will return to me.

Joy
Brought laughter
That I no longer hold
So sad, so empty
Alone, I grow old.

Loved the title and the conflict of the emotions it holds. Can't live with em and can't live without them... direct and to the point. I liked this

Many options for title in this poem. A lot of strong statements. A sad poem with description of love lost and needing to be return. The poem is sad and beautiful. When we look at our life. We learn. We need someone to walk with us toward the end. Thank you for the excellent poem.
