My Love To Thee

My Love To Thee

A Poem by Tarry Franck

As we ride the riverboat
Down the mighty Mississippi
On a crisp air night
I thank you
For the offer of your coat,
We dine
With a wonderful conversation
And a glass of their best wine,
The evening a special one
Because I'm with the love of my dreams
And I don't want the night to be done,
It's special to me
Sealed with a kiss
As I confess my love to thee,
And you take my hand
You confess your love to me
Sealed with a beautiful band,
Tears spill from my eyes
As I know we belong
To each other
And two become one
Forever our love becomes tied.

This would be a nice boat ride. Sharing time with someone special and the Mississippi river. Remind of old dreams and ways. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.
