On this early morning

I sit outside on the porch

Listening to the waves

Hit the shore,

It's like music to my ears

The birds chirping

In the distance

And all I can do is think of you

For you are far away

But I hold you close to my heart

And the distance seems to feel untrue,

I could hold you so tight

On this brisk morning

And hang on to you

With all my might,

My heart aches for you

And I'm spinning out of control

For all I want to do is wrap

My love around your soul.
