Open Your Hearts

Open Your Hearts

A Poem by Tarry Franck

There are people around the world
Freezing on the streets
And doing without food
It's time to open your hearts
To their needs,
They would be so thankful
For shelter, food and even shoes
To cause happiness
To their blues,
Dig deep within and help the less fortunate
Because they deserve better
In this bitter cold season
They deserve your help
For every winter reason.

A terrible earthquake shattered the homes of my people just this year, and not so long after that Super Typhoon Yolanda destroyed many places in our country. It was horrible. Good thing many people are still kind at heart. Yes, those people deserve not just our help, they also deserve a good life.

There are people out there that need help any time of the year, but especially in the winter since it is so cold. I am very thankful for the roof over my head and heaters and blankets to keep me warm.

Good Job

You're welcome
A needed poem for the poor and the needy. All places in our world there are homeless and desperate people. Here in Michigan. The good churches do so much for the needy. If we can help. We should. Thank you for the outstanding poetry.
