Loving The Shore

Loving The Shore

A Poem by Tarry Franck

I admire you below the sun
I admire you below the moon
I admire the smile you place on my face
I admire all your fun,
Without you, I wouldn't know
The true meaning of love
I wouldn't know the true meaning of being blessed
For all that you have shown,
I'm blessed by your honest ways
I'm blessed by what you have given me
In these past beautiful days,
That makes me love you more and more
Like the waves love the shore.

Loved this one Tarry. This poem is happy and filled with words to make the reader smile. One thing I find funny is your use of the word shore. originating in the north east the word shore was the only word I used to describe where the ocean meets the sand, until I moved to Texas and it is now the coast. The word shore always brings pleasant memories back ot me. Very nicely done.

This piece made me think of loved ones whom i wanted to say all these things to, so it speaks to the soul IMO which means it came from YOUR soul Tarry. Hard to pen what the soul makes us feel at times so this is especially good in my book.

I like the metaphor of likening one's love to how the waves love the shore. :)
